My favourite dress

A prompt from bee which I got, and am going to write on today is, my favourite dress. So here is a little poem about that very thing!

light, and very summery
long and flowy
oh how I love it
cool breeze whips it
making it spread outwards
making me blush
because there are others around me
do they really need to see me flushed?
still though
Oh how I love that dress
Summer sun
Summer fun
Me in that long flowy dress
Happy as can be.

Carol annes poetry challenge, from Bee…owed to my left big toe

Bee had a fun prompt for me this week. It is, owed to my left big toe.
πŸ˜€
So here I go, lets see what I can come up with for this one!
πŸ˜€

wiggle it
just a little bit
feel how it wiggles
owed to my left big toe
it gets me places
I stand on it
owed to my left big toe
socks on my feet
keep it warm
all winter long
owed to my left big toe
I’m glad I have it
otherwise my foot wouldn’t be complete
Owed to my left big toe

And that’s it!
I did it! A nice little poem all about my toe!

Carol annes poetry challenge from Bee, sorry its late this week…

Bee challenged me last week to the following poetry challenge, I said I’d do it, then time ran away with me, and I forgot! So I am late…but here it goes, I am going to try and give this a shot…

Her poetry challenge to me was…Eat it or beat it…

Yummy food
That I cooked
Lovingly
With my own hands
All made with care
And love…
I put my heart and soul into my creation
Sit down
Mindfully eat
Take stock
The taste, texture
Smell even
As I sit
Enjoy my creation
Eat it, or beat it
I tell myself
But nevermind the last part
There will be no beating it
Only eating it
And when I am finished
I will sink into a chair
Satisfied, and content again.

Carol annes poetry prompt for this week!

Bee set me a wonderful prompt for this week!

In the grounds of longing, the young ones rejoice

Isnt that awesome!
πŸ˜€

So I decided to give it a go! So here goes my attempt at a poem using it!

Emotions
they fly
flying so high
and in the grounds of longing
the young ones rejoice
rejoice in the joy
of Christmas time
which is near
never fear my sweet little ones
this year
we’ll have fun
so so much fun
we’ll craft and create
eat our fill
open presents
watch childrens tv
and rejoice
in the peace and quiet
where the longing will grow
but never fear
I will make all of your wishes come true
look to me my sweet little ones
look to me
and that longing
to be kids
never lose that longing
for it is you my sweet kids
that make me complete
