Hi there, how are you? I hope life is treating you well, and if not that you have a good tune in your ear to help you face your challenges 🙂 .
In December, I have started a musical journey all over the world on Mondays. There are music universes out there that we know nothing of because we tend to listen to our own countries music mostly.
When “Love Is In Da Blog 2020” came to an end I decided to invite other bloggers to take part in my world-wide musical blog tour. It is so great to check out other bloggers music choices and it would be wonderful if I have some help to find great music from other countries. Can I entice you to take part?
Unfortunately, I am not sure how my blogging journey will go for the next few months as I have been diagnosed with breast cancer and do not know yet how it will be treated. But this blog will be my “Big C Travelogue” 😉 so I’ll keep you updated. It is my believe that doing something positive while beating cancer is one part of getting through!
That is why I am creating this page, so everybody who wants to go and discover music from other countries than their own can find a cue on which country to go to. I also try to find a link where to find musicians from that country. But please feel free to google, bing, ecosia… other links and find out more about the music of the country I suggest. There’ll also be a post every Monday with a prompt for the following week.
It would be brilliant if you could come away with me every Monday 🙂
How can you take part?
“Come Away With Me 2020 Musical Challenge” Rules/suggestions
- Join in! No matter where, when and with what. You missed the first week? Don’t worry. Just jump in when it suits you.
- Send us the link! The ping-back option does not always work so please leave a link in the comments of the post on the day you take part. Or leave it at the “Come Away With Me 2020 FB page“
- Tag your post either with ” Come Away With Me Musical Challenge”/ #CoAwWiMeMuCh” / “Come Away with Me 2020 Musical Challenge” o/“CoAwWiMe2020MuCh” / . You can also use these as hashtags for Twitter and other Social Networks to give your post more exposure. If you add #blog and #music with your hashtags it will get you more readers.
- No matter which music or country the prompt favours you create with it whatever you please. This is supposed to be a fun challenge and no chore.
- I post a prompt for the next week with every “Come Away With Me 2020 post” I write.
- If you like, use this picture for your readers to find the posts.
Come on blogger, come away with me 🙂
So far I have visited these countries under the name of “#MusicMonday Travel the World“
Feel free to visit these countries and discover some of their great music at your own pace.
Come Away With Me 2020 Musical Challenge
Here is the list of countries with a link suggestion to find some of their musicians that I have planned to visit until “Love Is In Da Blog 2021”. And you are invited to come away with me 😉
This is a table where we can travel in each week. I add a link to the country’s name that gives you a selection of musicians from that country. They are in no way conclusive but just there to give you an idea about possible music arists in that country. And some of them also show artists from other countries that are popular in that country. Please bear with me on that one. Please check them out anyway and then it is up to you which one to choose and to find a song on YouTube or other music online places and to share them with us. Or just to discover…
And if the prompt offers your country please have a lookout for young artists in your country. It is so important to give young people a leg up to start their career, especially in the music industry.
Oh, this list is a somewhat random choice 🙂 and I am visiting some countries that belong to another but because they have either their own cultural heritage or a human rights struggle that is important to highlight.
So here we go… (the links for dates already gone are planned to lead to my published posts. Please follow this tag if I am behind )
