Hello out there, how are you doing? I very much hope you and yours are well and if not, know, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Slowly I get used to my recovery daily routine. I take naps which I don’t usually do, do my exercises three times a day and push myself to write my blog posts. No, it’s not because I feel depressed or anxious that I am not always motivated to write but because I enjoy reading, watching tv and being cared for by the best husband (Jeremy Clarkson voice) in the world.
Do you think that is selfish? Probably. But hey I need to get through this somehow 🙂 . Oh, I forgot my daily walk up the garden and managing pain and my stomach. Healing is busy business 😉
Let’s remind ourselves why we are here:
Linda over at “Life in Progress” has started the “What day is it anyway” blog event. She invites us all to share a little of our new daily routines, struggles and successes. She writes: “
Why I’m writing this post:
Because if you’re like me and stuck at home already, or if you’re going to be like me soon, the days of the week are going to be hell to keep track of. We have a wonderful community here on WordPress and all over the Internet as well, and I’m sure many people are feeling nervous and/or isolated. I want to make sure every one of us has somewhere to congregate and someone to talk to.
I want everyone to know that you can start discussions with each other in the comments, and if you’d like to write your own “What Day is it Anyway?” post, you can link to this one. Hashtag #WDIIA.
Let’s keep in touch!
And I can only encourage you to take her up on the offer 🙂 . Here is her post from Sunday.
For our good news, we travel to Australia where the TV Channel 7 News Australia shows ten minutes of good news on their program. When I researched to find out if that is a daily thing on the TV channel, I found even more Australian TV channels doing that. Are good news an Australian thing? Please my Australian readers enlighten me 🙂
Sorry for the ad breaks in the video.
This post takes part in “Good News Tuesday” inspired by JoAnna on “Anything Possible”. Please head over and find more fantastic and inspiring stories. Thanks!
Some of us might have more time on their hands than usual and might get bored. That is why I share some cool and mostly free resources for online learning that researched a couple of years ago. Todays are focussing on Business topics:
Brentwood Open Learning College: Brentwood Open Learning College offers one free course in PR. I suspect it is their way of getting you to keep learning with their paid classes, which cost between 300 & 1000 £ as far as I can see. Their topics range from accounting, management to vocational courses, and you even gain benefits like 10% off Amazon or Matalan purchases. The free course is free for life; they offer all the materials and even a free certificate at completion. As far as I can see, it covers the basics of Public Relations and is set at entry-level.
Facebook Blueprint: Facebook Online Marketing: Personally, I am not a fan of Facebook. However, if you want to gain exposure for your book, your online shop or anything else that needs to be known, it seems that you can’t do without the Book of Faces. No matter how you feel about this social network, it is worth knowing how to work it if you need their services. This is where Facebook Blueprint comes in: It offers free online courses for you to learn the ins and outs of advertising with Facebook. You can even get certified. However, I could not figure out if there is a fee involved.
David Parrish: David Parrish is a keynote speaker on business and has published two free online business and management courses for cultural and creative entrepreneurs. You can access it via the EU-Eastern Partnership Culture and Creativity Programme which was created to help creatives in Eastern European countries. However, those two courses are open now world-wide and only last 30 min each. You can gain an online certificate after answering some questions. The lessons are offered both with video talks David Parrish recorded and reading paragraphs.
So peeps that is it for today. The Long Cosmos and Farmville2 are calling to me. Also, I am still tired even though I had two naps today, so maybe I am off to bed soon. Oops. I schedule my posts for close to 1 AM my time, so hopefully, I am in bed anyway. 😉
Take good care of yourselves and your family and friends. Make sure to wash your hands, wear a mask, and do anything you can to stop his virus. And lets watch something funny to cheer ourselves up 🙂
Just one more thing before you go: The hospital that is treating me is fundraising for a dedicated breast cancer unit which would allow same-day diagnosis and better premises for patients and staff.
Please, if you can spare a little money hop over to their Just Giving Page and give as little or much as you can. Or share the page on your social media. Your support means a lot to me! Thank you very much.
Thanks my dears, for staying with me until the end. I appreciate your presence. Please stay safe, stay kind and remember that you rock!
