Looks like I missed one and did another extra. Never mind… 😉
Wow, more than half-way through #APromptADayForBee. I start to wonder what I am going to do after that year-long project.
It has become a habit for me to think about, what I might write a poem about. It has not turned out at all, how I thought it would be though. At the beginning, I got a few wonderful prompts, which really challenged me but were great fun to write poems about.
There was “The Secret in the Snuffbox” one of my favourites of this project and a picture for a prompt from a Facebook group. But then the prompts died down. It was not for my encouraging and advertising. I certainly have done my bit of that.
But never mind. This is just how it is and it somehow is a cool thing too because it made me search for prompts and made me discover haiku. One of my favourite form of poetry by now. I also found wonderful prompt creators and visual poetry.
There is so much out there, that you can do with poetry, it is just amazing! I never thought I could have fun for such a long time with this project. Last month was easy in a way because I took part in #frapalymo again which I love and which had inspired “A Prompt A Day For Bee” in the first place.
And my plans for the end of this project? I will publish a poetry book with it. Just looking through all my poems so far astonishes me highly: There are some really great poems.
But the end is near so to speak. The end comes really close with every poem I am going to write from now on because I am more than half-way through. Sorry, I repeat myself :-). But I can only encourage you, to do something similar one day.
It opens your horizon to new ways of writing poetry, to new poetry forms and gadgets and just challenges you to have a close look at what you are writing.
So with no further ado, I’ll go on to today’s poem:
