Today we are back at Frau Paulchen’s Poetry Month and I am looking forward to this prompt:
(you can find the original German post here)
half way through frau paulchen’s poetry month! i congratulate all of you who have versed with me, am happy about all who have chosen a prompt every now and then and thank all of you, who read enthusiastically and just are enthusiastic about it!
let’s discribe and verse about the second half. the prompt for the poem on may 16th is: “salon whispers”. i don’t know how i got this prompt but when I was thinking about poetry and artists and artists communities i also thought about the earlier “salons” and that is how the “salon whispers came into my mind. if you choose the exact word though or if you put your own whispers into the salon is entirely up to you.
and the small print: please let me know via email or Twitter, if you take part. then i can post the link to your blog/poem on Twitter. or post the link in the comments under the daily prompt post on my blog. hashtag for Twitter is #frapalymo and I am @FrauPaulchen.
- Horace’s definition of the aim of poetry is “to delight or to educate”
- A salon used to be a gathering of people with similar interests, to either amuse each other or to teach and refine ones taste under the roof of a host
