#Poem of the Day: #331 of #365 A Prompt A Day For Bee ~ Losing my religion ~ A Blast from the Past

This poem was first published in April 2015 on my old blog:

Lately, I have been moaning a lot about the Christian church and its failures. But to make it clear: I owe the Christian church a lot as it gave me a home and some stability in my childhood when it was very chaotic.

Even though there are many who do not live what they preach, there are as many who do. Today’s poem will be a dedication to all those followers of the Christ, who are an example of their faith and who do a lot good in this world.

No matter how many bad apples are in there, and not matter how much I have lost faith in organised religion no matter which confession or faith, there are spiritual people out there, who are part of organised religion, who are great people to be with. And they deserve to be mentioned.

Losing my religion
I have
lost my
religion
along the way
of life.
But
out there
are those
who teach
everybody
no
matter which
faith
they belong to
how
beneficial religion
can be!
