It’s getting cold….

November 14th, 2014

Two years ago at this time, we had snow. And it stayed like forever. I loved it though. It reminded me of the winters in my childhood (and why do I feel now that I sound like my grandmother 😉 ). We went to school no matter how deep the snow was. We just had to deal with it. Throwing snowballs, of course, was forbidden on school property but sometimes we just did not care. We went down the hills with wooden sleighs and when we came home we had a mug of hot chocolate. We laid on the ground and made snow angels. We built igloos in the garden.

Even though my childhood was hardly carefree after my mother got cancer there are parts that I miss. Making snow angels in deep snow is one of them….. 🙂
