#180 of #365 A Prompt A Day for Bee ~ The Woman On The Train

April 2019

I wrote this poem a little after I met my friend Nadia in London. We walked for hours and I came home and had trouble with my ankles afterwards. This poem gives a little insight into what I thought and experienced when I went back on the train.

November 2014

Today’s #frapalymo prompt is “the woman on the train” and you can find the German prompt here: #frapalymo impuls 28nov14

On the train
ย
at last
on the train
ย
I wish
I could
put my feet up
ย
those girls
they wereย
here
in the morning
ย
I wish
I could
put my feet up
ย
that boy
over there
such grown-up
things he
says
ย
I wish
I could
put my feet up
ย
my reflection
in the window
have I become
an old woman
ย
I wish
I could
put my feet up
ย

    • Thanks very much. It is strange I remember the girls and the boy. He was rather posh maybe 6 or 7 years old and talked lime a grown-up with his mum ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ๐ŸŒปโ™ฅ๏ธ
